Re: The ultimate orb solution, at last.

Busy day, I’ll try your new 5k files later today or tonight Victor.
Also--I tried my keyboard axis binding thing again--worked like a champ, no troubles at all. Weeeeird.
I used a different Orb and still had problems with your KeyboardAxisBindingDemo. I found that Axis X is th...

Re: The ultimate orb solution, at last.

Victor, I know you are very busy but I wanted to tell you about a problem with one of your 0.9b2 files. In an attempt to build a sketch so the Orb would work in Quake4 I discovered that the “keyboardAxisBingDemo” in your Orbduino - 0.9b2 files doesn’t play well with the Orb and windows...Programs po...
Ron, clarification--did you ONLY see motion on RX and RZ, or did you see some on Y as well?
Yes, the first time I tested the 5k I only seen motion on RX and RZ...nothing on Y and X axis. Re: The ultimate orb solution, at last.
Heh... yep, you can see why I was pretty excited about it. And two-handed "move with orb, shoot with mouse" play works REALLY well too; it's the best of both worlds because you have the orb for fast coordinated motions and the mouse for precision sniping, with the spaceball's 12 butto...

Re: The ultimate orb solution, at last.

IT BEEPS...IT BEEPS! My new (used) Spaceball beeps just like you said it would Victor! It’s an HP 4000 FLX, I gave it a workout in the CP applet and it works grrrrreat! If you can’t tell, I’m really excited about this ball working with your basic 4k file. Now for more great news, the Spaceball works...

Re: The ultimate orb solution, at last.
Ron: You may have gotten a bad version of the 0.9b2 file. I uploaded it, found a problem, fixed it, reuploaded it, and it's working now... but Sourceforge does a distributed download system so you may have accidentally gotten the first (wrong) one.
Thank you for the info, I do...

Re: The ultimate orb solution, at last.

Thank you Victor! My new board works great with the SpaceOrb, I used it to test my Spaceball (Whatever it is) with your basic 4k file. I uploaded your Basic 4k file and tested the Spaceball with control panel applet. It showed that is a SpaceOrb/Spaceball and the status was ok. In CP properties only...

Re: The ultimate orb solution, at last.

Victor, I received my OrbShield kit today and it looks great! Hopefully I’ll have a chance to stuff the board tonight and test it. I wanted to tell you that the Spaceball 4000 FLX I purchased at eBay didn’t work with your latest files. I checked the label and at the top in large letters was “Spaceba...

Re: The ultimate orb solution, at last.

Sorry I am late getting back to you, Snow storm here yesterday and I lost power. The Orb axis are very smooth with and without precision mode in HL2. So smooth that I really didn’t need precision mode to aim the crosshairs exactly were I wanted them with just a light touch on the Orb. The harder I p...
